Intern With Us

Our internships put people inside real productions, not on the sidelines. Interns have worked alongside our team at:

Student Internship Program: NextFest LA at the LA County Fair

NextFest LA is a festival built as a stepping stone for indie artists, uniting diverse niche music scenes so emerging talent can move from local venues to major festival stages. Produced in partnership with The Givends, our Student Internship Program gave students direct work experience in festival production at NextFest LA at the LA County Fair.

Where interns learned
Interns joined the teams that make a festival run: Production Assistant, Stage Team, Tech Team, Talent Support, Marketing & Social Media Support, and General Festival Support.

Who took part
No prior experience was required. We welcomed students who were open to learning, adaptable, self-motivated, punctual, kind, and ready to work as part of a team.

What it gave them
Hands-on festival experience and a direct line to future work and networking opportunities in the industry.

Teen Production Internship: Sounds of LA County

Sounds of LA County was a free concert series across 27 LA County parks, produced by NextFest LA in partnership with LA County Parks. Our Teen Production Internship Program put teens from park communities inside a real, working production with a live crew to shadow. It connected directly with the teen centers at each participating park, supported by Our Spot teen center outreach funding.

Where interns learned
Teen interns joined the LA County Parks team alongside NextFest’s professionals to witness just what it takes to run a community led concert.

Who took part
Local teens who were interested in the entertainment professions like Production, AV & Marketing/Social Media.

Why it matters
Teens who grow up in county parks can become the next generation of people who staff, produce, and lead events in those same parks. Structured, supervised programming also keeps teens connected during the after-school and summer hours when it matters most.
